FROM INSTALL TO WORK

Install, select a folder, and start.

DeepSeek GUI bundles the Harness runtime, Node.js, and pnpm. Open the desktop app after installation and connect a model with a DeepSeek account or compatible API.

Sign in right after installing

Installs for the current user with normal permissions. On first launch, sign in with a DeepSeek account or enter an API key, then pick a folder and start.

02 · WORKBENCH

Project status is next to

View file changes, branches, commits, worktrees, and project memories directly next to the session without repeatedly switching back to the command line for confirmation.

03 · LOCAL DATA

Collaboration experience remains local

Credentials, settings, sessions, and global memory exist in the application data directory; when managed data needs to be moved, it can be copied, verified, and switched.

HARNESS-FIRST

v1.2.0 updates to DeepSeek Harness 0.2.0-rc.2.

The workbench follows upstream session, tool, and permission updates. This release returns to global and project Markdown memory, adds session export, and improves Windows sandbox mark cleanup.

Account sign-in and usage

Sign in with a DeepSeek account and start working, no API key needed. Settings shows your balance, top-up, and spending, requests, and token usage for today, 7 days, and 30 days.

Markdown memory and session export

Global and project memory live in ordinary Markdown files. Export conversations to Markdown with optional tool calls and reasoning.

Sandbox cleanup and Developer mode

Low integrity marks are cleaned up after sandbox commands finish and the workspace becomes idle. Extra session and plugin reporting is off by default; enabling Developer mode requires confirmation and a restart.
