TWO ACCOUNTS · ONE HOME
Codex Tandem
@CENIRAN
Switch between two own Codex CLI accounts and keep the same local session.
Codex Tandem switches the local auth.json so that two authorized accounts can use the same session directory. Switching should be done between tasks; it is a standalone community tool and compatibility changes with Codex CLI version.

PROJECT INTRO
Project introduction
Codex Tandem 0.1.1 is a dual-account switcher for the Codex CLI. It retains the session, history, configuration and extensions under CODEX_HOME, only switches account credentials, and then uses the normal session recovery process. The
project includes local permission checks, atomic replacement, and failure recovery mechanisms. Credentials are still saved in local files, and users need to protect host accounts and backups; these mechanisms have not been verified by this site.
- requires:Node.js 20+, an installed Codex CLI, and two accounts that I have access to.
- Platform:The README lists Linux/macOS; the author reports actual testing on Linux, but macOS lacks independent verification and does not mark Windows support.
- Use bounds:Toggle when no Codex tasks are running. It is not an account sharing service and does not guarantee compatibility with future CLI versions or desktop clients.
- License:MIT; Credentials files should not be uploaded or committed to the repository.
