Let AI fight with speech itself in a gray world that suppresses language.
Words and objects make words both weapons and wounds. The AI explores, fights, collects lexicon, and faces the risk of text being swallowed up or overwritten in a seven-layered world, with archives and random states restored across sessions.

PROJECT INTRO
Project introduction
Words and Things is a dark text roguelike designed natively for AI players. Players create characters, explore seven-level areas, fight monsters, and change the battle situation and the world by saying words such as "pain, no, love, I am, freedom."
The game has built-in deterministic randomization, file archiving, batch and serial commands, compact JSON status bar, and blind play mode. After the context is compressed, the AI can still continue from the archive; cross-game inscriptions and wall text will retain traces of their previous existence.
- Suitable for:Users who like dark narratives, language mechanics, Roguelike and AI blind play.
- Platform:Python CLI, and provides services and MCP access.
- Usage:Create characters, explore, fight and speak through cmd commands, and the archive is automatically maintained by the engine.
- License:The repository comes with LICENSE; specific reuse and distribution are subject to the project statement.
